Lonna Possehl's Music Studio

A New Generation of Students

A New Generation of Teaching

The end of the teaching year is upon us and I imagine many of you are getting ready for your spring recital.

We had fun this last term studying and working on our "Carnival of the Animals" theme.

We studied Saint Saens, learned about his "Carnival of the Animals" and planned our recital with Animal Songs and Artwork to coincide.

Some of the songs being performed are "Animal Band", "Monkey Business",  "The Pink Panther", and "Cat and Mouse".

On our studio bulletin board I hung pictures of animals and it was quite a challenge for students to come up with a musical term that began with the same letter as the animals.

Best wishes for a good summer.  Even if you are giving summer lessons, so take some time to renew yourself.  Attend a workshop, do some internet research (there are lots of fun games and printable resources), practice, or just organize your studio!
